Alfa Laval Sweden has signed an agreement with Pythagoras to implement a property management system that will handle digital twins and the technical management of its development and production facilities. This strategic initiative aims to consolidate all property data into a single system, providing better oversight and control across all facilities.
The need for a new system became evident during the relocation of the research centre in Tumba and the construction of a modern facility in Flemingsberg, just outside Stockholm. Simultaneously, Alfa Laval is expanding in Lund, where new buildings totalling over 35,000 square metres are constructed in the near future. To ensure effective management of the new buildings, Alfa Laval tested the Pythagoras property management system in a pilot project early in the process.
“Pythagoras is a natural step on our digitalization journey, where we are facing new regulations within sustainability, construction and fire safety in conjunction with internal transparency, says Roberto Giolitti, Head of Security Sweden & Site Facility Manager Lund.
The implementation of the property management system will begin with the new construction in Flemingsberg, running concurrently in Lund, and will subsequently be rolled out across the entire Swedish organisation.
